So, as we always do, we turned to the data, and analyzed the variables that impact sales performance for a sample of over 5,000 convenience stores.
What did we find? One of the easiest and quickest ways of boosting Frazil sales in you store is to carry the 32oz cup! Stores that carried 32oz cups, on average, sold 35% more than stores that did not! 35 percent more sales!
Reason #1:
Some stores think that it doesn’t matter. It matters! 35% more sales in the category can potentially bring in hundreds or even thousands of extra dollars into the store. And all just by adding one extra cup. Also, cup size purchases are correlated to age demographics. The 12oz cup is purchased predominantly for children, while the 32oz is almost exclusively an adult cup, with adults ages 31-45 the number one age demographic of the 32oz cup. Carrying all three cup sizes ensures your slush category is appealing to all age demographics who come into your store, which helps you maximize sales.
Reason #2:
Stores don’t have enough space in the back for another box. Storage space in the back of the store is often very tight.
